120 HOURS is a competition where architecture students are given 120 hours (5 days) to complete a project. The theme in 2015 was 'Experimental Preservation'.
‘Looking Glass’ proposes to build a transparent wall around Pyramiden in order to protect it from flooding. Not only this façade will allow visitors in Pyramiden to still see the glaciers and sea unobstructed, but also allow visitors in thousand years later coming in by underwater means to view the city from the sea, in other words, an inverse-aquarium.
