The brief allowed for any form of architectural proposal within the area of Bath, UK. We based this proposal on the existing Herman Miller factory due to its historical values, as a recognition of Bath as a city that has contributed greatly to the world's industries
from past till present.

 

The Open Workshop transforms the existing industrial building into a complex, including studio spaces, workshops, classrooms, exhibition spaces, shops and a café. It is intended as a meeting point of innovation and the public realm, with the hope that members of the public could be involved in the innovative industry in Bath. Ultimately, the scheme is a rejuvenation of the industrial legacy of Bath aimed to ignite creative ideas that will once again change our living.
