University of Bath Basil Spence 2017 People's Choice Award 2nd Runner Up
University of Bath runs its flagship project for graduating students studying Architecture and Civil Engineering to join together in a group project each year. This year’s scheme is set in Weymouth, a coastal town in southwest England that is in desperate need of revival.
The proposed building is a multi-use hall that celebrates the art of making of every day objects as well as the building itself. It is an exhibition pavilion that celebrates the art of making - what is normally not seen by users and consumers. The hope, then, is to spark an interest for the public to be involved with the act of crafting things and bring a physical and social renewal to the city of Weymouth.
